Reiki Level I Classes

Begin your journey with Reiki Level I on August 10, 2008, from 9am to 4pm. This level introduces you to an ancient healing method that is gaining more acceptance as a modality for reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Reiki also works in harmony with conventional medicine, surgery, medication, and psychological care. Level I Reiki promotes self-healing and familiarity with Reiki energy. You will receive written materials and a Reiki Level I Certificate upon completion. Cost is $100 with a $50 deposit due four days before the scheduled class. Continue your Reiki journey as a Reiki practitioner with Reiki II Training The emphasis moves from self-healing to healing other people and situations. You will learn about working with your guides and sending distance healing, the Reiki symbols and their use. As a Reiki Level II Practitioner, you will expand your horizon in helping others to heal themselves. Reiki Level I certification is a prerequisite. You will receive written materials and a Reiki II Certificate upon completion. Cost is $200, with a $100 deposit due four days before the scheduled class. Advanced Reiki Training (ART)
Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008
Time: 9AM to 4PM
This is a one day intensive Reiki workshop is designed for the practitioner who wishes to advance to a higher level of training as a facilitator of healing. The student will receive the Usui Master symbol which increases the effectiveness of the Reiki II symbols and can be used for healing. We will also discuss Reiki meditation that strengthens the mind and expands consciousness. This level of training also includes advanced techniques for using Reiki including methods of removing and transforming negative energy, the use of crystals and stones with Reiki, and a guided meditation that can help to introduce the student to their Reiki guides for healing and information. The prerequisite for ART is Reiki II. You must take ART if you wish to take Reiki III/Master and/or Karuna Reiki. Cost is $225 with a $100 deposit due four days before the scheduled class. Karuna Reiki Training
Date: September 13-14, 2008
Time: 9AM to 4PM both days
Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is translanted to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could also be translated as "compassionate action." Karuna Reiki opens you to work more closely with all enlightened beings. This includes those enlightened ones who are physically present as well as those in spirit. The two day Karuna Reiki Class is for anyone who has had Reiki Master or Advanced Reiki training. It consists of two levels, two attunements, four master symbols and eight treatment symbols. Karuna Reiki works on the emotional and spiritual levels and also can help one become more grounded. Those who receive the attunements report experiences with their guides, angels, and higher self and feel the healing presence of other enlightened beings. The student will learn and practice the use of all twelve symbols and will be a Karuna Reiki practitioner after taking this class. Class manual and certificate included. Meditation
Quiet time is vital for well being and meditation is a form of quiet time. With practice, it moves beyond the occasional activity and becomes integrated to a way of life. Taking time to meditate gives the mind an opportunity to recreate itself and realign focus. SpiritWings and the Western Maine Holistic Health Council will be offering a monthly meditation in the near future. Meditation Class II

Creating Your Safe Space for meditation and healing. In this class you will learn to set your boundaries and create a sacred space for quiet contemplation and personal healing. We will explore how to create a sacred space in the physical and spiritual world. It is recommended that you have some meditation experience before taking this class. A guided meditation will be included so bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow and a journal or notebook. Cost is $25
Group Past Life Regression

A number of disciplines promote healing at various levels. Before launching into a field which focuses on the healing process and overall well-being of others, we should prepare ourselves to be the most effective tools for the Creator and the Universe. Participants will concentrate on readying themselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to become hollow bones. This weekend class emphasizes the importance of healing oneself before helping others. Becoming a Hollow Bone also introduces opportunities that are available to promote overall health- including, but not limited to, Reiki, massage therapy, and counseling.
